🏢 The Client

Digital By Creatives (DBC) is a creative agency that connects influencers and brands through short-form video. With a flexible team of freelancers across video, strategy, and ops, they needed stronger systems as their content volume scaled.

🚧 The Challenge

The process for creating short-form social content was unclear and misalignment was costing them time.

There were no standardized briefs or trend documentation, and handoffs were inconsistent. Editors didn’t always know what the client wanted, creators weren’t sure what was expected, and account leads had to step in constantly to clarify.

With no system in place, it became harder to keep quality high as the volume grew.

Content Briefs & Handoff System

  • Created editable templates for briefs to clarify hooks, visuals, CTAs, and tone
  • Worked directly with creators and editors to guide handoffs and reduce ambiguity
  • Introduced optional “style reference” sections to avoid creative misfires

Trend & Format Audit

  • Analyzed top-performing TikToks and Reels across client verticals
  • Built a Notion database of proven video formats and trend styles
  • Recommended reusable structures to speed up ideation and editing

Cross-Team Process Design

  • Acted as a systems bridge between the editing and influencer teams
  • Documented expectations around turnaround time, file naming, and feedback
  • Helped leadership spot gaps and opportunities across the content workflow
